It will be an Android app that will “introduce the core features of Outlook in a smaller app size packet”.

The best part of this app according to the company, this application will also work on low-end devices at low network speeds, according to the news of ZDNet, at present this app is present in many countries. Because of this, it seems that Microsoft is now working on a global rollout of this app.
Outlook Lite app will launch this month?
If you see the Microsoft 365 roadmap, the Outlook Lite app can be introduced to users around the world this July 2022, according to the information shared by the company, this app will only work for Outlook, Hotmail, Live, and MSN accounts. According to the news, the new Lite app will not support company office or school accounts because it’s only focused on mails features and it’s necessary to eliminate these features to make this app lite. Microsoft’s original Android email client supports them.
If you see the market share in the world apart from the iPhone (iOS) users, almost all the smartphones in the world work on the Android operating system majorly. Devices with premium features and specs as well as entry-level devices work on this platform from Google for entry-level users in India Google Offers Jio Next which is a highly customized android version for entry-level Android users. These devices have less processing power, due to which many Android apps do not work properly on them.

To overcome this user problem, developers from different companies also offer lite versions of their apps. For example, Facebook and Messenger have Android apps as well as lite versions of them. Now Microsoft is following the same and is introducing the Outlook Lite app for low-end devices.
Because Microsoft Outlook is a popular email client application, which has been downloaded 500+ million times on the Google Play Store so far, and not only on Android the company is also testing a new version of Outlook for Windows to influence people to use windows application rather than the web version (because web version not properly working in those areas where internet speed was not so good). In the upcoming days, this new app will also go live on the Windows store.
